One of those chainsaw carver men at the Nicollet County Fair. He had a few pretty cool carvings around him that he had done. I think he was working on a wolf or something. There was a mini minigolf course at the fair that you can see behind the carver in the background.
I was away for the weekend up in Crosslake, MN so I left the photoblog on autopilot. Thanks everybody for the nice comments. I went out taking some night shots with Sam but most of them didn’t turn out. I do, however, think that I have one that is decent that I’ll post after all of the county fair shots are through.

Awesome action shot! You even captured the chips of wood flying through the air.

I really like this picture, Joe. I think you did a great job. There is so much going on…even in the background where you can see people watching.

Thanks guys for your nice comments. I like the wood chips flying through the air too. I’m not convinced, however, that this shot works in color… I’m thinking that it might be better in a black and white or a duotone of some sort, just because I don’t know if the color really adds to the shot. But, maybe if it were black and white the wood chips wouldn’t make sense anymore, which is my favorite part.
