chairs 6
September 9, 2005Sixth in the series. It’s the same red chair from the previous shot in front of a ping pong table and some random boards. Just creeping in at the top of the frame is another one of those foggy basement windows. I like this shot because the solid line geometry of the ping pong table and boards nicely contrasts the curveyness of the little red chair.
The lighting on this shot was a little hard to deal with because I wanted to preserve the texture and grain in the white board and the slightly yellow board. But, I think I ended up with a nice compromise between the contrast of the previous shots and the fine detail that this photograph deserves.
LASIK update: I had my postoperative checkup today and they said that I have 20/20 vision now and everything looks perfect! Which is really great to have the day after the surgery. I guess my vision is supposed to slowly get better over the next few months. I’m quite thrilled with the whole thing and I’m really glad that I had it done.
