My totally sweet Dyson vacuum cleaner against my red wall. It is a DC14 low reach. Best vacuum cleaner ever. Unfortunately, it looks like my wall needs another coat of paint. I also put this photo up on Wikipedia in the Dyson article. If you don’t know what Wikipedia is, you need to find out. Trust me.

Speaking of Dyson, I just read about this guy who invented a thing using similar technology to recycle and clean shower water for showering. Besides being awesome for the environment and a way cool idea, it is supposed to save the city of London 85 billion litres of water each year and each household £170 each year (about $312 American). I’m pretty excited about that if it ever comes our way even if it is a little bit drink-your-own-purified-urine-like-the-guy-in-Waterworld-ish.

Update (09/13/2005): I missed the word billion above, which Charles kindly pointed out. I guess I need to try a little bit more at proofreading my stuff. Thanks for the edit!

  1. Saturday night live did a skit on him. It was hilarious.

They’re selling these for about $500 at Sears now.

Nice photo of an unusual subject :)

  2. Just thought I’d let you know you missed off a rather vital ‘billion’ from number fo litres of water saved per year!

  3. I never thought I would love a picture of a vacuum cleaner… but I do. :) The vibrant reds and steely gray are just fanastic! Makes me want to go out a buy a Dyson.
