Lamp post against a building ƒ/4.5, 1/125 s, 100 ISO

Just a regular lamp post against a building. I took this shot while I was in Montreal with Sam this summer. If I remember correctly, this was right by where we had happened to park… Right in front of the library I believe.

I was going for that cross processed look with this shot by bringing all of that green and dark blue into the building. I think it works pretty well, actually. Unfortunately, when you resize a photograph like this with all of those nice, straight lines, they get all jagged on you. Does anybody know how to prevent that? I tried resizing it in steps or resampling in different modes with no success.

My favorite part of this photograph are the four round lights that make a line of dots across the top of the frame. Don’t ask me why, but I think that’s great.

  1. What I like is the sliver of contrasting colour in the bottom left corner. Nice work!
