upstairs - Shifting Pixel

I would say that the theme of this image is interesting light shining from inside. The entryway has that ominous yet inviting feel. I think it has something to do with the mix of the warm a cool tones.

I got to enjoy my new blender quite a bit last night. It is so nice. Vita-mix makes a great product. I can testify. I have the Vita Prep. So far I have made the following things in my blender:

Two different kinds of smoothie
Butternut Squash Pie [PDF]
Strawberry Daiquiris

It was pretty much the greatest thing when making the butternut squash pie because instead of cooking the squash, I just blended it really well until it became this wonderful, smooth, steamy paste. Then we mixed eggs, sugar, and other spices and baked for a while. It turned out so deliciously and was almost zero hassle. Plus, the best part of the whole blender is that it cleans itself just by putting some soapy water in it and turning it on and then rinsing it out well.
