ceiling fan by Joe Lencioni

ceiling fan

One of the ceiling fans in my house. While this isn’t exactly what I would personally consider to be a good shot, I did like how I could see detail in the light bulbs and the sparkle star light streaks coming off the lower left light bulb.

I have been on a kick about lighting lately because of the recent discovery about quantum dots and LEDs. I am very anxious for this new technology to become available. It would be great to get a reasonably sized solar panel and some batteries and have all of your quantum dot LED house lights wired up to the thing so you wouldn’t ever have to pay to light your house. It would be okay to have all of the lights in your house on at all times. And, if your batter were big enough, you wouldn’t have to worry sitting in the dark for hours when your house lost power during a storm.

Yesterday, Sam and I made this stuff called Monkeybread. It combines three reallys: really cheap, really easy, and really yummy. It’s basically a dessert triple threat, so be careful when you use it because you never know what will happen.

Also, we went to the Twin Cities to see my friend, Nate Burdick, play in his band, Trophy Wife at Club 3 Degrees. Their MP3 on the MySpace thing sounds a little bit like The Killers to me, but what do I know anyways.

And now, here are some countdowns:

  • Countdown to beer brewing equipment arrival at my house: 2 days.
  • Countdown to Thanksgiving: 11 days.
  • Countdown to my first batch of beer being ready to drink: about 35 days.
  • Countdown to Christmas: 42 days.
  • Countdown to my birthday: 57 days.
