a hangar in a field

True story: I was driving along this weird dirt road in the middle of nowhereville Minnesota and I saw this structure way out in a field. So, I got out of my car and walked through snow drifts and got my feet all numb and photographed it. Then my battery froze up and I went home.
Sorry, that was kinda a lame true story.
I don’t really know exactly what this structure is technically called, but it looks like an airplane hangar to me. I think that is where the farmer puts some of the farm machines. I found a broken piece of farm machine blade in front of the building. It was frozen into the ground.
Thanks for all of the nice comments on yesterday’s photo. I hope that you like today’s as much.
And now for some completely unrelated updates.
- LASIK update: My eyes are doing well and I can see 20/20 without glasses still. This is a very wonderful thing for taking pictures and looking through tiny viewpieces. If you are in the Minnesota area and are contemplating getting LASIK done, go see Dr. Elizabeth Davis with MN Eye Consultants. She is brilliant.
- Beer brewing update: I have my equipment and it is all piled up on my kitchen floor in front of my record player. I’d like to do a boil this weekend, but I am not yet confident that I know enough to do it properly. I have a book and a DVD, so maybe I’ll do a read this weekend instead.
- Vita-mix vita prep blender update: The blender is still great. I have so far made approximately 6-9 smoothies/mixed drinks, butternut squash pie, salsa, part of stuffed green peppers, and some other things I’m sure that I can’t even think of right now. It is pretty much awesome and I’m looking forward to it being the only blender I will buy for the next twenty years or so.
- Vitamin update: I have still been taking my vitamin C, B-complex, and Calcium+D pills every day and I feel great. I know that they are working because one day I didn’t take them and I was sitting at work thinking, “Why am I so tired?” Then I realized that I hadn’t taken my vitamins. The Flintstone kid is back!

Beautifull shot. The sky is so clear this could have been a lunar base. Very fine detail too. How cold was it out there to have stopped your battery? Do Canon do thermal packs for their cameras :-) just kidding - have a good weekend! - [Chuks]
