Continuing with the teapot theme of the past week or so, this is my other teapot. It is quite a beautiful tepot, but it is not an iron tetsubin like my other one. Rather, it is a white, porcelain one with some cool blue designs covering it.

Interestingly, this teapot has some history in my family. My Aunt Pat purchased it for her mother from the giftshop in the hospital that she worked at shortly after she had started working there. She has now been retired for a number of years and decided to pass the teapot on to me. It came with a cream and sugar dish as well.

Unfortunately, because I don’t have an infuser to use with this pot it has primarily served as decoration in my kitchen. It is much larger than my other teapot, so it would be nice to put it to some good use eventually… especially if I have guests.

Also, today is the very last day to vote in this week’s photo friday challenge, “Imperfection.” If you like my entry, go and vote for number 363.
