The one and only Mark Mallman performing at Carleton College’s The Cave in Northfield, Minnesota. Buy one of his CDs if you are looking for some solid keyboard pop rock. He has put out five studio albums, one live album (recorded at First Ave), one greatest hits album, and one single.

If you are looking to see the most entertaining show ever, go to one of his shows. If you are lucky, you’ll not only get to see Mallman, you’ll also get to see his alter-ego, Mallwolf. He is a madman and I love him to death. To top it off, under the on-stage cherades and general over-the-top wackiness, Mallman is a great guy and he is brilliant. He once performed a marathon 52.4 hour pop song. That’s dedication.

He will be in New York on the 5th, Philadelphia on the 6th, and DC on the 7th. He has a bunch of other dates on the east coast (and Ohio) coming up this month. Check out his website. Go to the Mallman show. Seriously. Go to the Mallman show. I don’t care if you are deaf. I don’t care if you don’t like music. I don’t care if you don’t like wackiness. Go to the Mallman show. I give you my guarantee that it will be the highlight of your week. If you go and don’t like it, send me your ticket stub with a sad frowny face on it and I will send you one of my very own dollar bills. I’m serious.

  1. There’s emotion in his eyes! Nice capture. I like the light on the mic.

  2. Yeah, this was actually taken the night that his girlfriend broke up with him, so he was pretty emotional. He had a hoodie on before the show and I went up to him to chat a big and I said, “Mallman, you look like Edward Scissorhands tonight, what’s up?” and he responded, “Good, it’ll be easier to cut off your cock.” Hehe.

But, if you think photo shows his emotion, you should see him live. He is nuts. I seriously cannot recommend a Mallman show enough.

I’m glad you stopped by, Phil.
