I realize that not only is Christmas over, it is already the new year. Well, that doesn’t change the fact that I haven’t gotten around to taking my Christmas tree down and I probably won’t until the weekend. It also means that you have to endure more Christmas-related photos that I’m putting up. I figure that the whole Twelve Days of Christmas gives me a little bit of leeway, right?
I really like this picture, so it’s funny that I wasn’t even trying to take it. I was going for the glass ornaments that are decorating the tree. I guess it’s part of that being in the moment zen photography thing. Come to think of it, this stocking is the only thing hangning on my tree that isn’t a Christmas light, a glass ball ornament, a candy cane, or the Mickey Mouse topper I stuck up on the peak. The one thing that really gets me about the photo is that little, white thread hanging down into the red area.
