Window in a Door

You are looking at the only shot that was adaquately exposed on the roll of film I shot in my Holga on my birthday. This is the door that goes from next to my kitchen out onto my deck in my backyard.

I wish the rest of the roll had turned out though. I guarantee that I would have had some really great shots on there–it’s sorta the fish that got away. You see, I had loaded the camera with some film like a month or two ago and then threw away the box and forgot what I put in it, so I didn’t really know what I was shooting with. It turned out that it was 400 ISO, but still not enough for the light that I was shooting in. Unfortunately, this is one of my least favorite shots from the entire roll, but it turned out really well and I’m quite happy with it. So here it is, the only evidence that I did something with my Holga.

For processing, I scanned the negative in color mode which gave it that nice, reddish hue. Then I cleaned off all the dust in photoshop using the healing brush and added some contrast using a few curves adjustment layers and removed some saturation using a hue/saturation adjustment layer.

In other news, I guess that this vampire guy is running for governor of Minnesota. His name is Jonathon “The Impaler” Sharkey, he is a satanic dark priest, supposedly drinks real blood, and promises to personally impale any terrorists in front of the capital (via The Pie-Eyed Picayune).
