Popeye’s Birthday Party

Some old boardgames at the Flea Market and Antique Show. I had actually never heard or seen any of these before.. but Lotto, Colorforms, Popeye’s Birthday Party, and MAD Magazine Game all sound like they could have been fun. I bet most of the pieces were missing.
I went up to Duluth this weekend–it was very nice up there. Sam and I went down by the lake and sat on some of the rocks and the weather was just perfect. I wish I lived in a city where you don’t need air conditioning to be comfortable.

Colorforms! I loved Colorforms! I don’t know any of the other ones, but still a good trip down memory lane.

Beth, what do you do in Colorforms?

In Colorforms they give you these shape things (I didn’t have the Bugs Bunny one… I just had plain old shapes) that were sort of like those window clings people put up for holidays. But then they gave you different colored boards so you could stick them on there and make your own pictures. I think they gave you pre-made designs you were supposed to try and copy, but it was more fun just to make up your own!
