Kasota Stone Arch

This is from somewhere in Kasota, MN. Jerry and I were driving around looking for good night shots when we found this place where they had a bunch of Kasota Stone stacked up in huge rows and in piles. I’d like to go back there during the day to see what it all looks like. This particular section was stacked about twice my height. Here’s Jerry’s take on this one. He uses film and I shoot digital, so it’s always interesting for me to see what kinds of differences there are in our shots.
I have come down with some sort of a cold and it has just been draining all of my energy the last couple of days. Hopefully I will wake up refreshed in the morning.

Awesome! The color and detail of the rock are amazing. I can’t even get day shots like that. Your night shots rock my socks.

A really good light of which you have used to shape brilliant tones. Enhorabuena by the cleaning of the color. A greeting

Yeah, that turned out wonderfully. I thought I had fairly good detail with my old film cam, but this is extremely textured, and the sky is amazing!

Looks like a film setting of some kind and on the other hand the sky’s like totally ‘follow that star, three kings!’
I’m talking gibberish, excuse me. =d
(great shot, though!)
