This is going to be a three part series taken in the unisex bathroom at River Rock Coffee in Saint Peter, MN.
I like to think of this image as an abstract landscape. The moulding is the ground and the metallic trays on the wall are the clouds. I’ve actually drawn and painted this scene before and was very excited when I saw it.
Ugh, I’ve had a cold all weekend. I tried to read yesterday, but my mind didn’t want to work at all. Tomorrow’s Monday already, so I hope I can get some decent sleep tonight and hit the week with some steam. Or maybe I should just stay in bed and you can come wake me when you find a cure for this stuff.
Also, make sure to watch the video of the day. My friend Rob sent it to me a couple weeks ago and it blows me away each time I watch it. But then again, I love Arcade Fire to begin with. Poke around that site too—there are some excellent performances there (some of my favorites are My Brightest Diamond, The Shins, Andrew Bird, and Tapes ‘n Tapes).
