River Rock: Behind the counter

I like the shot because there’s a lot going on in it—which means that there’s a lot for me to look at. The three beautifully handwritten chalkboards that hang on the wall showcase the River Rock’s menu. Below them, in the bottom of the frame, is the apothecary table where they store their coffee beans. The small, blue, ceramic bunny sits on the ledge as a reminder to workers that customers are referred to as “blue bunnies.”
Besides the different objects that are in the frame, there’s a lot of repetition going on here. I like that. The three chalkboards going across the top of the frame, the five coffee cups going down from there, and the labels on all the drawers for the beans make this photo more interesting for me.
The River Rock is a great place to get good coffee and delicious sandwiches. If you’re in town and not a vegetarian, make sure to try the chicken pesto panini along with my all-time favorite, an iced americano.

Nice. I like this for the same reason that you do, and, I also like it because despite all that is going on, it’s still simple. Great shot.

Great shot. Very complex with lots of stuff going on.
Seems like the kind of place you don’t find that often.
I think I’ll go a make me a cup of coffee :)

I agree with your comment. Also, the light is very beautiful, the color tones and the dof (the small window with the blurry background gives a lot of depth to this shot). Love it!
