This was posted by guest photographer Andrew Faulkner of fadtastic.net to celebrate the two-year birthday of Shifting Pixel. More information.

The Happy Waterdrop was captured during an experimental project where I took photos of waterdrops in my sink. I expected the odd decent shot of a waterdrop to come out but when I saw the Happy Waterdrop appear I was amazed. Surely a one in a million. Since its birth, the Happy Waterdrop has travelled to 5 continents where it has appeared at water roadshows, in chemistry books and a Lake District brochure. Most important of all, a copy sits above the bath at home, bringing a smile to me every day.
