Colorful Vines
December 4, 2007Autumn is, without a doubt, my favorite time of the year in Minnesota. Maybe I’m feeling nostalgic for warmer times–I just wish it weren’t so cold and snowy here right now.
This is a bit of an abstract nature shot that I took a while ago. During a trip through the archives, the bright colors of this photo really popped out at me… probably because when I look out my window all I see is white everywhere and grey skies. Hopefully this weather won’t last for too long and we’ll be right into spring.

Very nice and colorful, but I strongly disagree with your dislike of winter and snow.

Well it may look pretty, but you can’t drive anywhere when it’s snowing, and you fall down all the time cause there’s ice everywhere, and your feet get all wet and cold. Yuck.

I like the shallow depth of field.
Last weekend I saw a wedding on a beach along Lake Superior in the middle of a blizzard. What’s more Minnesotan than that? Come on, Joe, we live in MN, so embrace the cold!

Haha, that is awesome. I would have liked to have seen that.
