Rock on the Shore

A rock sitting by the water at the end of a day up on the north shore of Lake Superior. Sometimes I wonder how long rocks like this have been sitting there, and how long after I left did they continue to stay there.
Christmas is just around the corner. I can’t believe that it’s already the 12th today. Time seems to be just out of control for me lately–sometimes it’s important to just focus on reality, take a deep breath every now and then, be a rock, and just slow things down a bit.
There exists only the present instant… a Now which always and without end is itself new. There is no yesterday nor any tomorrow, but only Now, as it was a thousand years ago and as it will be a thousand years hence.

this is effin amazing, your rock picture is out of a dream. I’m very jealous, and very inspired at the same time. I love the focus. and I really want a fish like I saw in some pictures, I’ve really wanted one before, because I never liked the effect, but man you know how to use a fish eye. Congrats, and this couldn’t be more bluntly, so you better take the compliment!
Peace

Wow, thanks for the awesome compliments on this photo. :) Unfortunately, this wasn’t taken with a fisheye lens–it was my trusty 50mm f/1.4.

I know that :)
I mean the photos of the mad vinyl machine, those were taken with a fish eye right?

Oh! Of course. I re-read your comment and it makes much more sense to me now. Thanks again!
