Destroyed Wahlstrom Hall 2 ƒ/4.5, 30 s, 100 ISO

This is nearly the same shot as yesterday’s, but I liked them both so much that I decided to post it anyways. It was taken on the same night in almost exactly the same spot. This one feels like a war zone to me or something.

I think that the biggest difference between today’s and yesterdays besides the orientation and the missing post is the overall color. Yesterday’s feels a little bit more purple than todays. Also, I made another version of this shot where more of the foreground was visible, but I liked this one more because it was darker and more mysterious. I guess it also looked more realistic.

  1. this is such a cool shot. i still can’t believe the sky turned out like that, it’s really beautiful.

  2. Sweet! I looks like some post-apocalyptic landscape.

  3. Where did you find such a light/sky?
    Great effect !

  5. thanks everybody! sidney: i think that the lighting in the sky is like that because it was night time and completely cloudy, so there was no moon. all of the light was from streetlights and ambient light coming off the city. it was a very interesting light and i’m glad that the shots turned out so well.

  6. i’m eric. joining a couple boards and looking
